Gene Harris, born in Benton-Harbor, Michigan, USAe (1933-2000) was an american jazz pianist, wellknown for his warm sound and with blues and gospel infused style of playing that is known as ‘soul jazz ‘. Gene Harris always inspired me as a pianoplayer and the first piece i ever heard of Gene Harris was this piece, Summertime, written by George Gershwin. It completely blew me away. After you have listened to it i think you probably know why.
